Glen Einich is one of several huge glacially carved troughs in the Cairngorms National Park. It leads to Loch Einich in a dramatic setting beneath steep corrie walls. A good (mountain bikeable) track follows the length of the glen, some 12 kilometres from the village of Coylumbridge. The path passes through ancient remnants of Scots Pine before reaching the more open and wilder scenery. Several river crossings are required to reach Loch Einich. As a day outing, following a section of the path is rewarding.
