Situated by the pretty River Nevis this visitor centre is, for many, the starting point for an assault on Ben Nevis. The centre has a wealth of information on the natural history and geology of the mountain. Learn about the secretive pine martens which live nearby. Or read about the blue mountain hares, ptarmigan and ravens which live high on the slopes of Ben Nevis. At the centre you will also find vital information on navigation on the mountain which should only be undertaken by competent hillwalkers.
