This mammoth Scottish mountain (seen here from the south) is the largest of the Torridonian giants. Liathach, the grey one, stretches out over seven kilometres, rising dramatically from Glen Torridon. Her grey appearance, particularly on a mist-filled day, adds to the sense of impregnability and danger. There are two munros on the ridge: Spidean a’ Choire Leith (1054m) and Mullach an Rathain (1023m). The mountain is for experienced hillwalkers only and in winter makes for an epic Scottish expedition.
