This museum is located in the former church of St Columba, built in 1700 and occupies one of the most spectacular stretches of coastline at Clachan. The museum has a series of interactive ‘hands-on’ displays where visitors can try traditional crafts, as well as an extensive library archive of documents and photographs relating to the history of the region. The Clan Mackay Collection occupies the upstairs room of the museum, and is one of the most popular displays.
