Acton, a country village during the middle ages, was gradually swallowed up as London spread outwards. Acton Green Common is a great starting point for walks and Acton Park has a 28-foot statue called the Twilight Tree carved from a dying Dutch Elm. The area is well supplied with restaurants and offers a wide range of antique shops.

  Latest Acton Review

I've been over Acton many times but this time it was extra special, I was invited by friends on the Goldsmith's Estate to a Queen's Jubilee Party which was great, partaking in the tug of war was so much fun and seeing everyone congregate like families and neighbours used to was really special. I love the area and it can get quite beautiful in the summer months with North Acton Park providing plenty of room for all wishing to get a suntan.   - Dean Saunders
