The laboratory in which Fleming made his discovery has been reconstructed to how it would have been in 1928. Displays and a video then tell the remarkable story of a scientist and his discovery. What a great little museum, it's been in Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust or St Mary's as it's otherwise known, since 1993. Based on Praed Street the Fleming Museum reminded us that without penicillin we would all be a lot worse off and maybe not even here.

There's only one gripe with this museum, no wheelchair access. Entry was only four pounds. It's well worth the detour to view all the old equipment the doctors used back at the turn of the last century..
