Founded in 675AD, this Saxon church is one of the oldest and best preserved in this area of the city. The church has had the gruesome undertaking of dealing with a great many beheaded bodies such as Thomas Moore, John Fisher and Archbishop Laud. Samuel Pepys the world famous diarist watched the great fire of London from the tower of the church.
