This neo-Gothic church stands alone on the heath, apart from the village of Blackheath, which it overlooks. Built between 1857 and 1867 by Benjamin Ferrey, it has Kentish rag surfaces and a tall spire. Later additions include the vestries, added in 1890, and the porch added in 1899, both by A W Blomfield. The church is Grade II listed and a member of the inter-denominational Blackheath Group of Churches.
