The first full-time ambulance service in London dates back to 1897 when the Metropolitan Asylums Board needed a quick and easy way to get patients to and from hospitals. The museum exhibits include a range of vintage radio equipment, memorabilia from both the First and Second World War, more than twenty vintage vehicles and a horse-drawn ambulance from circa 1870.
