This moving tribute to the millions of animals who have been killed in war was unveiled in November 2004. The memorial shows life size bronzes of two pack mules, a horse and a dog walking through a curved Portland stone wall. The wall shows bas relief images of all the animals that have served in war, from glow worms to elephants. The sculpture was designed by David Backhouse and funded by voluntary donations. Both animal lovers and sculpture fans will enjoy visiting this beautiful monument.
