Beaconsfield is a contemporary art gallery run by artists in what was once the London Ragged School. This school is reported to be the school that Charlie Chaplin attended. The gallery was established in 1995 and has been used for many exhibitions and has displayed works from contemporary artists such as Georgina Batty, Markus Copper and Shane Cullen. It has some interesting architectural features, in particular a railway arch space, which is available for corporate hire. Beaconsfield also works with local schools providing education and classes in contemporary visual art.
