Benjamin Waugh's House
26 Croons Hill, Greenwich, London SE10 - England, UK

Map
Benjamin Waugh lived in Greenwich for most of his life in this charming house opposite the park near the centre of town. A great Victorian reformer and clergyman, Waugh was interested in charity work like many Christians and particularly the plight of children. He established the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in 1889 and became the first director of the charity with no less than Queen Victoria as the first patron.
