Bermondsey in Southwark, South London is historically a working class area that up until the turn of the century was dotted with infamous housing estates but is now an area of regeneration well under way.

The area of Bermondsey encompasses a large swathe of South London from below London Bridge, bordering the Thames River and the Rotherhithe Tunnel stretching to the borders of New Cross and falls under the more upmarket SE1 postcode, as well as SE16.

Such is the development of Bermondsey the upper class creep has been fast to move into the Bermondsey borders creating an uplift to the housing market and ensuring development plans continue.
