Bethnal Green is one of the largest and most historic pieces of common land in east London. Situated at the heart of the suburb, the green is a large park and has been used by local people for a variety of trading and leisure purposes for centuries. Today the green is primarily a place of rest and relaxation, but there are occasional organised events held on the green during the summer months.
