The Bexleyheath War Memorial is a simple monument like so many war memorials, yet just like all the others it is charged with passion and meaning. It gives thanks to the young men of the area who marched off to war in the two great world wars of the 20th Century, many of them never to return. They gave up so much so that we could live in freedom and democracy as we do today.
