Bishop’s Park is a public garden on the northern bank of the river Thames close to Putney Bridge. The area was once part of the estate of Fulham Palace but was purchased by the local authority in order to secure green areas for locals to enjoy close to the river. As expensive apartment buildings and offices flank much of the River Thames it is a breath of fresh air to find such a large piece of Greenland so close to the river in central London. It is a popular spot with dog walkers, joggers and picnickers, especially in the summer months.
