This is a combined museum and archive, making up an internationally important resource for postal and social history in this country. The archives contain records from the Post Office in its many forms from the 17th Century through to the present day. The museum houses artefacts such as the desk of Rowland Hill, founder of the Penny Post, mobile post offices, post office vehicles from the past and a first class selection of stamps.
