A simple yet beautiful stone structure the Brockley War Memorial stands on the main thoroughfare in and out of the London suburb. It is a constant reminder of the great debt of gratitude that the people of the area owe to their forefathers who gave up so much in order to defend the basic rights and freedoms that today we take for granted. The area lost a great many of it’s best young men to the world wars of the 20th Century.
