Canada House is located on the west side of Trafalgar Square, and was designed by Sir Robert Smirke, who also designed the British Museum. Built between 1824 and 1827, it was originally home to the Royal College of Physicians. The Canadian Government have been using the building since 1923, and it is currently home to the Canadian High Commission. There is also a gallery inside the building, which houses temporary exhibitions historical and contemporary artefacts. The information centre allows visitors to learn more about Canada and Canadian culture, as well as listen to music by Canadian singers.
