There are few more famous men to have ever sailed the seas than Captain James Cook. His voyages of discovery across the globe helped not just the British, but the entire western world get an understanding of what lay to the east and the west of Europe and the Americas. He spent a great deal of time in the south seas and is thought to have finally met his end at the mercy of a group of cannibals in Hawaii.
