The Central St Martins College of Art and Design is the top institution of its kind in London, and has produced many fine artists and designers over the years. These include such names as Frank Auerbach, Lucien Freud and Stella McCartney. The Window Gallery on Charing Cross Road is a 24-hour display area that shows the work of the College’s rising stars. The space is also used for artists who are not part of the college, and it attempts to display a wide variety of art styles and mediums.
