With the magnificent Jacobean Charlton House as a backdrop, Charlton Park is one of south-east London's more unusual parks. Other features include a Japanese-style herb garden, a pond garden, a floodlit all-weather sports ground, a café open on weekends and a playground. The Park Ranger Service organizes walks through the Park every week from the front lawn of Charlton House and London's Green Chain Walk also passes through the Park. Charlton Park has wheelchair access.
