Located at one of the major road intersections leading into Chislehurst close to the common, this simple yet remarkably poignant war memorial was designed to give thanks to those who died in the world wars of the 20th Century. Many of the areas young people marched off to war and never returned to defend freedom and democracy and the town owes a debt of gratitude to them.
