Cremorne Gardens have existed as a public park and gardens for centuries on the northern bank of the River Thames in Chelsea. The land was originally owned by the Earl of Huntingdon and was passed through his family line. It never gained the fame of the similar styled Vauxhall Gardens down river and was much reduced in size during the early 20th Century. However some of the gardens still remain and are a popular place for locals to relax and watch the world go by.
