This fine sculpture was commissioned especially to brighten up the entrance to St. Thomas' Hospital, one of the largest facilities of its type in the capital. The sculpture was designed by Rick Kirby. Kirby was born in London and heavily influenced by the city in his work. He has works similar to this one exhibited across the country and is one of the nations best loved living sculptors in this style.
