The Crystal Palace Museum has been managed by the Crystal Palace Foundation - a registered charity - since 1990. Taking its name from the original Crystal Palace, the park enjoys a fascinating history – the water towers of the palace were designed by legendary British engineer I.K Brunel and John Logie Baird, inventor of television, operated a studio beneath the main concourse of the Palace from 1933 to 1936. Museum staff operate tours of the park, discussing its history in detail. The Museum is free but welcomes donations.
