Cybil Thorndike lived in this outstanding townhouse on the beautiful Carlyle Square at the centre of Chelsea for much of her life. She was a well-respected and outstanding actress of great talent. She was famed for her versatility as a performer and would regularly appear on the stage in some of the capital’s most prestigious productions. She loved living in London and was a part of the theatrical establishment for many decades.
