The farm first began operation in 1978 on a site nearby and moved to the location its presently at in 1980. The farm aims to provide a farm experience to the young people of south London who wouldn’t otherwise have been exposed to a farmyard, its animals or a country way of life. The centre had humble beginnings but now has over ten permanent members of staff and is open to the public with free admission throughout the year. A riding school also operates from the farm.
