The Dominion Theatre has been used as both a theatre and cinema, and is one of London’s largest theatres. The original capacity was over 2,800, but now the top lever is unused and the capacity has been reduced to a little over 2000. Built in 1929, the theatre was designed by William and TR Millburn. During the 1950’s and 60’s the theatre was used as a cinema, showing long runs of The Sound of Music and South Pacific. Popular productions in recent years include Time, Grease and We Will Rock You.
