Dame Edith Evans was one of the most prominent English actresses of the 20th Century. She lived a great deal of her life in this house at the heart of Belgravia not far from the west end theatres that made her famous. She was famous for her stage work until 1949 when she made her fist film appearance and after that went on to make numerous notable classics directed and produced by the finest in the business.
