Edward Adrian Wilson was one of the great polar explorers of his time although his legend has always been somewhat overshadowed by that of Captain Scott who he died alongside in 1912. Wilson lived much of his life in this charming old house close to the River Thames at the heart of Battersea. He was not only celebrated as an explorer, but as a botanist and writer.
