This green area has historically been set aside by the governing authorities of the area as a place for the common people of the borough to relax and enjoy some of nature’s beauty within the city. The area once hosted the home football matches of Fulham Football Club but today is far more likely to have amateur fun lovers kicking a beach ball around on it especially in the summer months. The common is famed for an early summer circus every year.
