Eltham War Memorial is a beautiful yet simple monument located at the very heart of the community. Standing on the main crossroads at the centre of town it stands as a lasting reminder of the great sacrifice made by the people of the area during the great world wars of the 20th Century. Many of the suburbs finest left for war and never returned in order to defend the basic right, liberties and freedoms that we expect in 21st Century Britain.
