The Embankment, which includes sections of Cheyne Walk, Chelsea Embankment, Grosvenor Road, Millbank and Victoria Tower Gardens, has several stretches of gardens, collectively known as the Embankment Gardens, which are home to many fine statues. Some parts of the Embankment were reconstructed following wartime bomb damage and the 1928 Thames flood.
