One of London’s most beautiful Georgian squares, Fitzroy Square was designed by Robert Adam in 1794. It has been home to many famous writers, artists, and politicians, including George Bernard Shaw and Virginia Woolf. The square’s southern and eastern sides, created in Portland stone, have remained in their original form. The square is surrounded by a number of private clinics including the London Foot Hospital and a hospital for the clergy.
