This Art Deco building was designed by Ashley and Newman and was completed in 1933. The building is Grade 2 listed and is the only Art Deco building in London to be kept as it was built, and to still be used for its original purpose. The hall is the headquarters for the United Grand Lodge of England Freemasons, and is the third such venue to be built in Great Queen Street. The building is a huge structure that covers two and a quarter acres, and the main chamber can hold 1,700 people.
