Friedrich Engels is probably the second most famous left wing philosopher ever to have written. Eclipsed by his writing partner and friend Karl Marx, Engels worked along side Marx in the formulation of their greatest work The Communist Manifesto. Engels, along with Marx enjoyed the political freedom of living in London and both had homes nearby in the north-central areas. They are charged with having been the influence and catalyst for the great communist superpowers of the 20th Century.
