The Frith Street Gallery is one of the main galleries in Soho, and has been open since 1989. The gallery shows contemporary work from both British and foreign artists, in areas such as painting, photography and sculpture. Regular artists at the gallery have included Tacita Dean, Fiona Banner and Marlene Dumas. The gallery is contained within two adjoining buildings, one of which dates back to the seventeenth century. The combination of modern and historic rooms makes for an interesting gallery space.
