This full sized reconstruction of the original gateway to West India Dock was opened in 2004 by the Mayor of London Ken Livingstone. The archway was built as a living testament to the great importance of the London Docks and in particular the amount of essential trade that went through West India Docks. The archway features the same cast iron ship on top as the original archway.
