William Gladstone was one of the best known Prime Ministers of Great Britain in the late Victorian age. He lived a good deal of his adult life in this beautiful house in the heart of London, just a few minutes walking distance from the corridors of power in Westminster and Whitehall. Gladstone helped to create many of the policies that guided the British political system into the 20th Century.
