Golden Square is one of the oldest and most historically significant squares in central London. It is thought that legendary London architect Sir Christopher Wren who was also responsible for St. Paul’s Cathedral laid out the square. The square quickly became the ambassadors' district of the capital during the 17th and 18th Century and was a place populated by some of the most important people in the world. Now it is used as a place of rest and relaxation at the heart of the capital.
