Greenwich park steeply climbs away from the southern bank of the River Thames up a large hill to Blackheath at the summit. This designated viewing point about three quarters of the way up the hill has a seating area and map showing visitors what they area looking at. It affords some of the finest views in London with visitors being able to see Docklands, the city, the west end and the millennium dome in a breathtaking 180 degree panorama.
