Greenwich Park War Memorial is a spectacular stone structure on the edge of the park. The monument is so positioned as that everyone on the busy road that passes by cannot help but notice the structure. It commemorates the brave men of the borough who marched off to war in the two great conflicts of the 20th Century, many of them never to return. Their bravery and courage ensured the freedom and liberties that we now take for granted.
