Greenwich Theatre is a 421-seat venue that began as a Victorian Music Hall. Plays have been presented here since 1871, with illustrious performers including Harry Champion and Lillie Langtree. The theatre underwent numerous reburishments and name changes over the years before becoming a cinema in 1915. Hit by a bomb during World War II, the theatre remained closed until extensive rebuilding in 1969.
