Unquestionably one of the more iconic buildings flanking the River Thames, Harrods Depository was built in 1894 as a storage centre for the larger items that could not be taken into Knightsbridge to the world famous department store. The building is no longer used by the company but retains many of its original external features although within the building is now over two hundred exclusive riverside flats. Visitors will recognise the building as being one of the key marker posts on the annual Oxford to Cambridge boat race between Putney Bridge and Barnes Bridge.
