Hayes Library is one of the community centres for this small south London suburb which straddles the border with Kent. The library which is housed in a beautiful old building set back from the main thoroughfare in the town offers a large selection of written, audio and video materials for hire. There is also a large collection of reference books, maps and local history documents. From time to time the library is used as an exhibition space.
