The Horse Guards Parade is indeed a very large and sandy square and was created in 1745 and was named after the soldiers who protected the King in 1660. The entrance of the building is guarded by 2 military men on their horses located on both side of the main entrance and two other ones standing on the other side of the building. The parade ground is in the heart of London and host the military parade which takes place once a year for the celebration of the Queen’s birthday celebration. The Horse Guards Parade is located in the centre of Whitehall, which is the political hub of the UK.
