The House of St Barnabas has been in Soho since 1846, and is a refuge for homeless women. The building that the charity is located was built a hundred years earlier, and is noted for its stunning Georgian plasterwork. The historic rooms within the House are opened to the public every few weeks, and contain many of their original features. Parts of the venue are also available for corporate and private hire. There is also adjoining chapel, which has some interesting architecture inspired by the Oxford Movement.
