Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine is an independent constituent college of the University of London. Although the college was not formally made a part of London University until 1907, many of the smaller medical and scientific colleges that make up the institution have existed since the 1700s. The college has magnificent buildings and grounds in the centre of Kensington that tourists are welcome to walk around and admire.
