There are four remaining Inns of Court, with this picture being taken near the Middle Temple. The courts have been around since the 14th century. The names of the Inns of Court are derived from the Knight’s Templar who occupied the site for over a century. The Middle and Inner Temples provide an interesting contrast from the hustle and bustle of Fleet Street, and are perhaps one of the most quiet places in London. The area also has many literary references, with Dickens spending much time around the Inns and using many locations in his books.
